Sissu is a picturesque village in the Lahaul Valley of Himachal Pradesh, India, at an altitude of around 3,160 meters (10,368 feet). Nestled in the Himalayas, it offers wonderful views of snow-capped mountains, lush meadows, and flowing rivers. The village is a haven for nature lovers and adventure seekers, known for its charming waterfalls formed by the Chandra River cascading down steep cliffs. Sissu is a starting point for treks to nearby attractions such as Chandratal Lake, Baralacha Pass, and Suraj Tal. Keylong, located approximately 23 kilometers (14 miles) away, is the nearest town with essential facilities. Road access to Sissu can be challenging due to high altitudes and severe winter conditions, resulting in blocked mountain passes. Thus, it is advisable to plan a visit during the summer months when the weather is more favorable and travel routes are open.
