Chakki river is one of the tributaries of Beas River. It flows through Himachal Pradesh and Punjab and merges with Beas near Pathankot. It is fed by snow and rain in the Dhauladhar mountains. The famous Chakki river which is flowing through the outskirts of Pathankot is now on the verge of drying up as Punjab’s neighboring state of Himachal Pradesh (HP) is almost ready with a dam on its side of the river.
