Himachal Pradesh is a state in northern India. Some universities located in Himachal Pradesh include:

1. Himachal Pradesh University (HPU) in Shimla – Established in 1970, it is the oldest university in the state and offers undergraduate and postgraduate programs in various disciplines.
2. Dr. Yashwant Singh Parmar University of Horticulture and Forestry in Nauni – Founded in 1985, it is the only university in the country that is dedicated to horticulture and forestry education and research.
3. Jaypee University of Information Technology in Waknaghat – Established in 2002, it is a private university that offers undergraduate and postgraduate programs in engineering, management, and computer applications.
4. CSK Himachal Pradesh Agricultural University in Palampur – Founded in 1978, it is a state agricultural university that offers undergraduate and postgraduate programs in agriculture, horticulture, and veterinary sciences.
5. National Institute of Technology (NIT) in Hamirpur – Established in 1986, it is one of the 31 National Institutes of Technology in India and offers undergraduate and postgraduate programs in engineering, science, and humanities.
6. Indira Gandhi Medical College and Hospital in Shimla
7. Dr Rajendra Prasad Government Medical College in Tanda.
