In July 1991 it was finally converted into Army School, Yol Cantt, and got C.B.S.E affiliation in April 1993. The School was upgraded to the Secondary level in 1995, and Senior Secondary Level (+2) in 1997. The school was redesignated as APS Yol Cantt in July 2011. It is managed by the Army Welfare Education Society.
