Chitkara University started its operations from Academic Year 2008-09 after the Legislature of Himachal Pradesh passed Chitkara University (Establishment and Regulation) Act (Act No. 2 of 2009). We are NAAC accredited government-recognized university with the right to confer degrees as per the Sections 2(f) and 22(1) of the UGC Act, 1956 and are a member of esteemed Association of Indian Universities.
