AN INTRODUCTION
In order to impart training to students in the state-of-the-art Information Technology, the Executive Council of the University in its meetings held on 4th March 2000 and 29th June 2000 decided to start a five year integrated Master Course in Information Technology namely MIT/BIT. The purpose has been to produce professional leaders in the field of Information Technology, as also to enhance the technological strength of the region and the country.
