His Holiness the Dalai Lama inaugurated and blessed the school on 24th November, 2004. Like any other TCV schools, TCV Chauntra is a residential co-educational school with clear set missions and goals to be accomplished. In fact, it functions under the guidance and supervision of TCV Head Office located in Dharansala Cantt. (H.P.)
